I play guitar and sing in Reno and northern Nevada, and everyone usually has a pretty good time. Once when playing at Java Jungle on First Street, a fan said "You make communism sexy!"
Come to a Show!
May 17, Waldens Coffeehouse
My friend Jim Eaglesmith runs a show Saturday nights at Waldens Coffeehouse with Phil Johncock called Jammin' With the Boys. They've asked me to play Saturday, May 17, from 7-8, followed by a performance by Phil. It's free and it'll be a lot of fun. Come on out!
Poetry, Peace and Music
The first and third Fridays of each month I co-host "Poetry, Peace and Music" with the talented Lee Dazey and Kim Elise, at Dreamer's Coffeeshop (on the first floor of the Riverside Artists Lofts building on Virginia St. in downtown Reno.) Check out the Reno News & Review Article About the Shows. We perform music, with open-mic sessions between music sets, where people sing songs, recite poetry (original or otherwise) and perform in just about every other imaginable way (we've had magicians, rappers and tellers of tall tales to name a few.) The evenings run from 6:30 - 9:30 p.m. Come check it out, read a poem, do a song or perform in another creative way!
