A Good Year
Released 1/1/11

Cover of A Good Year Singer-songwriter Chris Good released a new CD entitled "A Good Year" January 1, 2011. It features 13 original songs about life in the 21st century with America waging two major wars.

The music is sparse, just Chris singing and playing electric guitar. It’s folk music for the post-industrial age. While songs like “Killing Time,” “Cluster Bombs” and “The Answer” directly address the issue of war, the release also includes lighter fare like “Too Many Teeth,” a twangy number about kissing his dog, Pogo.

The songs were recorded at Watersign Studios in Reno in 2007, but only released on January 1, 2011 because Chris was too broke and scared to put the record together sooner.

Other subjects embraced on “A Good Year” include anger at SUV drivers, trying to keep secrets, a true story about a casino security guard walking out with the proceeds, and Lazarus rising from the dead. The record also includes a PG-13 title, “Ten Minutes of Bullshit” about the importance of being able to lie (all other tracks are linguistically family-friendly.)

The CD is available for download at Digstation, and you can buy a physical CD at CD Baby and in person from Chris.
